Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday, Covenant Thursday, Great and Holy Thursday, Sheer Thursday, and Thursday of Mysteries, among other names) is the Christian holy day which is falling on the Thursday before Easter. 

It recall and show the respect of the Washing of the Feet (Maundy) and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles, as described in the canonical gospels.

Maundy Thursday which also called Holy Thursday is celebrated a day before Good Friday. This festive called Maundy Thursday which is observed by Christians in the USA. 

Also known as Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday has been celebrated since the earliest days of the Christian Church. 

But what is Maundy Thursday? 

Maundy Thursday is the Holy Thursday before Easter(Good Friday), It is believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples. The meaning of Maundy word is command.

The day comes always between March 19 and April 22, inclusive, and will vary according to whether the Gregorian calendar or the Julian calendar is used. Eastern churches generally use the Julian system.

Most notably, that Passover meal was when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples in an extraordinary display of humility. He then commanded them to do the same for each other. 

It is good teaching by him for the world to follow the path of humility.

The Spiritual Significance of Maundy Thursday

Friends, according to me, we can follow this path to spread humility in the environment. It is very hard to follow this path. But if we keep attention on our mind and practice on daily basis, it is possible to do that.

Letting someone ahead of you in line when you see they are in a hurry is an act of humility. Cleaning the bathroom of your office, even though you own the company, is an example of humility. So, let's come further and show examples. We can become like GOD. As father as child. Children has to follow the path and walk on it. 

I never see such humility now a days. There is very less percentage of it in this current time. Everybody is busy in their work and earning money in this material world. They have no time to spend with their family and GOD Father. But see friends, now a days, there is big crisis came in this world in form of coronavirus. Everybody is locked down in their home.

I see that it is the best time to spend some moment with your family and Godfather and try to analyze some questions like who am i? Who is GOD? Why this Maundy Thursday(Holy Thursday) is celebrated? What are the teaching we should learn from it? How do we have to follow this path? Do we have humility? etc.

I have been practicing the same path with Brahmakumaris organization which teaches us the same.  When I do Godly services along with my materialistic works also, I feel so nice and peaceful. I practice daily.
