8 Keys To Success For Facing Exams

8 Keys To Success For Facing Exams (Part 1)

We all live our lives with different types of challenges always in front of us. One of the most important challenge which all of us at some time or the other face is giving a school or college exam, which will determine our future. And such an exam is as important as anything else. We often hear some of our close ones tell us that yes – we have an important exam in the coming days. These are mostly school or college exams and the ones giving them are important to us and we want them to do well in the same.

So, what should I, as a parent or a friend or a relative, give advice to people close to me so that they succeed in exams? A first step in giving exams that are extremely important is being determined and strong mentally and having a positive vision as well as attitude to them. Very often, some very intelligent children or grown-ups don’t do well in their exams. This is because of a lack of concentration which is affected by fear and nervousness. Very very well prepared students with their courses and syllabus, at the last moment, are not able to answer the questions presented to them because their minds are flooded with lots of thoughts. Most of such thoughts are negative ones of failure and the fear of the same. On the other hand, students who are lesser prepared but more strong mentally sometimes do well because their mental stability and the drive to excel positively is a lot more. In this message, we shall explain eight ways of increasing mental strength and focus, which will help students in their exams. They will also help you, even if you are not studying for any exam.

8 Keys To Success For Facing Exams (Part 2)

A very important way of remaining stable in the days before exams and the exam days is keeping a positive thought of success and repeating it in your mind a few times in the day. This could be done starting from the morning as soon as you get up and ending in the night just before you go to sleep. Positive affirmations reduce your fear and increase your confidence. This could be done for 10-12 times in a day. Secondly, always remember that God, who is the most powerful energy in the world, is my constant companion at every step. Also, if I remember God a lot and leave the responsibility of my exam performance to Him, I will not get stressed myself. Say to yourself while studying - God, you are my best friend and companion and I hold your hand to take me to my destination of success. In this way, I will remain extremely light. Experience God is sitting with me while studying and while giving the exam and you will not only remain light but you will perform in your exams with immense satisfaction and success.

Another method of remaining powerful and focused mentally during exams is keeping a dream in your mind and bringing it alive. Always think that I will stand first in my class or school or college. Even if you have many friends or student colleagues who are better in their studies, dream big. A positive dream will become reality when filled with the energy of hope and determination. Fourthly, always think and believe that the good wishes of all my close loved ones are with me. The ones who have the blessings and positive energy of many people behind them, are more successful. So ensure that all the people you come in contact with, including your family members and close friends are giving you their support and love at all times. Also, take the help of your teachers and ensure that they are always thinking positively about your performance and always persuading you to do well.

8 Keys To Success For Facing Exams (Part 3)

While facing exams, always keep a check on your concentration and ability to focus while studying. Check yourself – Am I taking too long to finish studying or revising a chapter in my course? If yes, check the number of thoughts in your mind. They are not only more in number but many of them are unnecessary and unrelated to my studies – may be of the past or the future or of other people. Reduce these unnecessary thoughts by stopping your studies and remaining silent for 1 minute every hour during the day and giving that short period of time to meditation. Also, as a student, keep in mind that the effort you make now is very important because as per the spiritual Law of Karma, as you sow so shall you reap. The more you study hard, the more you will experience happiness and it will give you strength in different ways not only in the present, but in your future life also. This will make you responsible and focused and you will look at the exam period and the time before that with seriousness.

The seventh key to success for facing exams is an attitude of detachment. As per laws of spirituality, to experience freedom of the mind and success in studies, the first and foremost step is detaching yourself from your studies and seeing the task accomplished instead of an attitude of attachment, which will make you stressed and worried about completing the task. To experience detachment, keep your study hours short but concentrated instead of long and unfocussed. Lastly and the eighth key to success is reducing the exam pressure by reading atleast one page of spiritual wisdom or knowledge every morning. This could be done before you begin your studies. This will keep you calm, relaxed and positive throughout the day. Remember the mind is like a blotting paper early in the morning and whatever knowledge of positivity you give it, it will absorb very easily and fast. That will keep you full of positive information in the day and also keep your mind and attitude to your studies positive and full of sure success.

The Spiritual Significance of Shivratri(Shiv Jayanti)

The Spiritual Significance of Shivratri(Shiv Jayanti)

*๐ŸŒนSpiritual Significance of Maha Shivratri๐ŸŒน*

_With one God Shiva in their minds, countless people keep worshiping him with deepest feeling of love, devotion and respect longing for one moment of his darshan or divine vision. God Shiva is everything to them. He is the supreme protector, the comforter of all hearts and soother of their pains.

He brings much needed peace and internal strength. On the occasion of the most auspicious festival of MahaShivratri devotion reaches its peak because it is the night of most elevated one the greatest God Shiva. It is also the best occasion to understand the spiritual significance associated with MahaShivratri. Shivling symbolizes the light form of God Shiva.

God is not a human being, not does he have any bodily form. God Shiva is a divine point of subtle, sainted, self-effulgent light. Light is symbolized by an oval shape. This is why he is depicted as jyotirling “The symbol of light”. He is the truth, the benefactor and the most beautiful one is therefore known as styamshivamsundaram. He is also sat chit anandswaroop. God Shiva is trimurti. He created the new world order of golden age through brahma. He sustains that world through Vishnu and get destroyed the old world of Iron Age which is filled with irreligiousness and unrighteousness through Shankar.

Tripund also is a symbol of these three divine deeds and celebrated during a day time. It is certainly not a routine night that we encountered at the end of each passing day. In the context of MahaShivratri, the night denotes ignorance, absence of the light of knowledge, it is the darkness due to the existence of all pervading five vices lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego. It is a night of extreme irreligiousness. Today peacelessness, unrighteousness suffering wrong and simple acts have become the order of the day, but for how long can this be continued, who will provide us lasting happiness and true peace. It therefore requires God Shiva himself to descend into this world which is passing through the period of extreme night of ignorance to reestablish a world of religion and values.

Infact he has already descended on earth in the ordinary corporeal media of Prajapita Brahma to assure them era of peace, happiness and prosperity on earth. This is a divine message of sacred festival of MahaShivratri. By remembering God Shiva with love one can get absolve of all sins. Keeping awake all through the night signifies that we should be alert in our actions, let us not be under the spell of maya or disillusion and invite misery and suffering due to our own bad actions. Let only good action take place through us.

Upvas and fast also has significance, ‘up’ means neared and ‘vas’ means to stay with. Staying with God through mind and intellect is a true spiritual significance of the fast. It also means taking a wow, to accept only a one what is pure. During this festival, the three leaf belpatra is also offered. It means surrendering our body, mind and wealth to one God Shiva and staying pure in a thoughts, words and actions. God Shiva is the supreme father of all. We are all souls sainted point of light. We come from paramdham, a world beyond this physical world that is our original home.

We descend from there on to earth, take bodies in this corporeal world. We end up performing actions that brings sorrow. Then we start invoking him. He hears our heartfelt please, seeking libration. He descends and we surrendered on to him. This is symbolized by a pot full of water above the shivling with a tiny whole at the bottom so that the water falls drop by drop on the shivling so as we celebrate MahaShivratri, it is important that we understand its meaning, significance of its purpose and imbibe the spirit of this great festival in our daily life._

Spiritual Significance of Saraswati Puja(Vasant Panchami)

Saraswati puja ek aisa festival hain jo vasant panchmi ko manaya jata hain. Vasant ritu ki shuruwat ho jati hain. Charo taraf rang birange phul khile hote hain. Yeh mukhya rup se ek din ka festival hota hain jisme har school, colleges and educational offices me saraswati mata ki murti lakar usme pran pratishta kar puja path kiye jate hain aur dusre din murti ko visarjan kar diya jata hain. School and colleges ke sath sath yeh tayohar mukhya rup se bihar, bengal aur jharkhand rajya me har gali aur muhalle me puja pandal banakar saraswati mata ki murti lakar puja path karte hain. Students apna group banakar aaspas ke logo se chanda jama karte hain aur bade hi dhumdham, umang utsah se yeh tayohar manate hain.

Lekin aajkal yeh tayohar ki aad me bahut hi kharab kam kiye jate hain. Yeh hamare samaj ka ek dusra pahlu bhi hain jiske bare me hame sochna hi padega. Ham puja pandal banate ya schools me puja path ka program rakhte hain. Saraswati mata buddhi ki devi hain, hame sadbuddhi pradan karti hain. Aaj ke din students bade hi dhumdham se puja sampann karte hain lekin kahi kahi par students aapas me hi ladai kar lete hain kisi na kisi baat ko lekar ya hamare samaj me bahno par galat drishti rakhte hain. Iss par hame gahra chintan karne ki jarurat hain. Ham puja bhi ma ki karte hain, aur hamare samaj me sabhi bahne, mataye sab mata ka hi toh rup hain. Ham aisa kaam na kare aur samaj me sabka respect kare, bahano, matao ka samman kare.

Jab vasant ka mousam(spring season) ka aarambh hota hain tab is mousam ke panchve din saraswati puja ke rup me manate hain, jab mousam bahut suhawana hota hain. Charo taraf ran birange phool khile hote hain. Sabhi ped poudho me naye patte aate hain. Saraswati mata buddhi wa gyan ki devi mani jati hain aur wo hame sad-buddhi pradan karti hain jisse haar aatma me patit se pawan ho jati hain aur sabhi pawan aatmao se prakirti bhi paawan ho jati hain jise satyug(paradize) kaha jata hain. Saraswati ma ko kisse gyan mila? Brahma se aur Brahma ko Shiv se gyan mila. Bhagwan aakar hame Brahma Ke dwara gyan sunate hain aur Saraswati ma hame gyan ko bahut easy karke sunati hain aur hame sad buddhi, satya gyan pradan karti hain. Isliye ham unki yaad me saraswati puja manate hain.

The Biggest Truth About Mata Saraswati

Let's know about the soul Mateshwari Jagadamba Saraswati (Mamma – World Mother), in the remembrance of her, people worship mata Saraswati.

BASANT PANCHAMI: A CELEBRATION OF WISDOM & NEWNESS (PART 1 of 2)

February is the time to embrace a change of season from Winter to Spring (Basant in Hindi). Spring is crowned the king of seasons for a reason: nature renews itself and bursts back to life, with rich colors, sights, fragrances and sounds. Basant Panchami symbolizes new life and fresh beginnings.

Today a decline in the quality of our life and the world makes us long for newness. Basant Panchami comes as a reminder that nature is cyclic. Like the cyclic pattern of 4 seasons - Spring, summer, autumn, winter, there is a cyclic pattern of 4 Yugas (world cycle) - Satyug, Tretayug, Dwapuryug and Kaliyug.

We are in Kalyug or Iron Age, created due to our consciousness of pain and aggression. The new world of Satyug or Golden Age where peace, joy, prosperity reign, will be created when we shift to a consciousness of divinity. To transform our consciousness, we need wisdom to know what to do: what qualities to strengthen, what weaknesses to abandon, how to be, what to do, and so on. We also need power to implement the changes. So, Wisdom and Power are two tools to change ourselves and thereby change the world.

Maa Saraswati is invoked on Basant Panchami, since she embodies wisdom and power (Shakti). We want to enrich ourselves with these two virtues.

In the next part we shall explore the qualities of Maa Saraswati, as symbolized by her form and features, and the rituals involved.

BASANT PANCHAMI: SYMBOLISM & RITUALS (PART 2 of 2)

Maa Saraswati is invoked on Basant Panchami, since she embodies wisdom and power (Shakti). We want to enrich ourselves with these two virtues. As we venerate her idol or picture, let us inculcate her qualities -

• Radiant face and royal form: A reminder for us to be clean within, with purity in thoughts and intentions. Inner purity shines through our face. Purity begets royalty. As royal beings, we will not want anything. We become givers of peace, love and happiness.

• Jewellery and garlands: Inspiration to decorate the self (soul) with jewels of truth, compassion love and bliss.

• Swan as a vehicle: Swan’s whiteness represents purity. Swan discerns milk from water, pearls from pebbles. We need to imbibe the power to discern pure from impure, truth from false, right from wrong. Accurate discernment leads to perfect decisions.

• Objects in the hands:

a). Playing Veena: Controlling strings of the veena reminds us to control our senses. In every situation we need to focus and play divine music, which means accurate karma irrespective of our situations.

b). Scriptures: Signifies study of spiritual knowledge and its inculcation, so our karmas align with spiritual principles.

c). Rosary: Rosary formed by stringing beads together, inspires us to live harmoniously. We need to stand by values even if we are alone, but not withdraw from others.

Celebrated fervently, Basant Panchami upholds beautiful traditions -

• Havan/Yagya: Symbolic of sacrificing or burning our vices.

• Flying kites: Reminder to remain connected to only one string – of God’s love and keep flying at the highest vibration of bliss, untouched by vibrations of situations.

• Sweets: Inspire us to radiate good wishes and blessings in our actions and interactions.

• Yellow/Mustard Seeds: Tiny mustard seeds remind us that we are souls, a tiny point of light. Soul consciousness makes us egoless and viceless. Golden-yellow crops and blossoms signify prosperity of the Golden age, Satyug. Yellow represents joy. So yellow flower and fruit offerings, yellow clothes and yellow dishes are reminders to be happy.

When we imbibe purity and royalty, decorate the soul with virtues, make right decisions, gain mastery over senses, respond right to situations, burn our vices, rise above negative influences, radiate blessings and be soul conscious, we become egoless. That is when we create the power to invoke the divinity within. Once we achieve such a divine state, we create Heaven on Earth or SATYUG where -
